July 10, 2006 Full Buck Moon
Way back in the beginning, the Native American’s gave distinctive names to each of the full moons to keep track of the seasons. The name applied to the period until the next full moon.
July’s full moon is most commonly known as the Full Buck Moon because the new antlers of the buck deer begin to emerge through his forehead.
It may also be known as the Full Thunder Moon because thunderstorms are more frequent during the month of July.

Take the time to watch a seagull in flight. Some days, depending on the weather, they appear to just float, soar and really enjoy themselves. Watch again on a windy day, they have to work a little harder to get where they’re going. Notice how when the weather gets stormy, they land and just hang out for a while. Here’s a quote from “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” by Richard Bach:
“Seagulls, as you know, never falter, never stall. To stall in the air is for them disgrace and it is dishonor. But Jonathan Livingston Seagull, unashamed, stretching his wings again in the trembling hard curve – slowing, slowing, and stalling once more – was no ordinary bird.”
Next time you get to a stormy day, read this book again as an adult. Everyday brings something new; learn to notice something new each day. Life will always be filled with challenges, make the best of them. Enjoy life, be happy. Go with the flow.
This is an excerpt from my article “Dance Like No One is Watching“.

Well, I guess that I should start this blog off with who I am & what this blog will grow into.
On this blog, I will be incorporating herbal information, recipes, healthy tips, some spirituality, quotes & poems, lessons I’ve learned & whatever else I feel like passing on.
Here’s my bio:
I started the Secret Garden Healing Oasis as a natural progression of Mystic Naturals. It is my intention to provide a place for guidence, education and healing so that we may all find and empower our true Self.
I am owner of Mystic Naturals, now in it’s 7th year, which offers quality herbal products for bath, body and relaxation to enrich the soul. All of the products are made from only the finest, natural ingredients available.
I have taught workshops in herbal & natural healing and have been a guest speaker for the Rotary Club, Mystic Chamber of Commerce, and local garden clubs.
I am a member of United Plant Savers and the Mystic Chamber of Commerce. I am also a Reiki Master/Teacher and Practitioner.
My life’s journey is in helping others to discover pieces of who they are, to notice the beauty in the small things, to be thankful for the challenges and lessons which allow for their personal growth, and to always be true to themself; all which promote a state of well-being, health and wholeness. I come from a line of healers, my great grandmother was the healer of her village in Poland and it continued with her relocation to Pennsylvania. I grew up taking long walks with my great grandfather pointing out all the various local plants and their medicinal uses. And continued with her grandmother’s gardening and folklore knowledge.
