Tuesday’s Dead

hot air balloon, letting go, cutting stringsYesterday is over. Today is a new day, filled with new opportunities and challenges.

A few days ago I decided that I was going to be leaving my job. (Yes, in these times of economic issues). The job had gotten to a point where I would wake up early or in the middle of the night with anxiety; not a good place to be. When I called work on Saturday to find out my schedule for the next week, all I got was a “All I have for you is next Tuesday.” Not even a “hello” and the phone went dead, we have caller id so he knew it was me. Of course I was upset, both by the lack of hours and the lack of common courtesy. Again, not a good place to be and definitely not very “spiritual” for me to feel that way, but I’m human. I thought, “I have to turn this thinking around.” So, I sat down and wrote a sincere “thank you letter.” Here’s most of what I wrote (I never delivered this, it was my shift in perspective that brought the changes):

“I would like to thank you for the opportunity you provided me. I was able to step back and look at what was really important to me. With all the time I wasn’t scheduled to work, I put 100% effort into my own businesses. They have really grown with the effort I have put in and I am thankful for that. Living life with a positive attitude is the only way to find true happiness.”

I truly meant what I wrote and put all my attention into those thoughts. I went to bed to read a book I had picked up earlier that a student recommended (I’ll get back to this). A little while later I received a phone call from someone I had met about a month previously. We had discussed a business idea together. He hadn’t been able to find my phone number but had just run across it. Hmmm… We are getting together this week to throw around ideas.

Tuesday turned negative at work. I quit, not out of anger but out of respect for myself. When I got home I found out that I had been given a second day a week offering intuitive readings at a local store. Hmmm…

Every challenge in life offers two paths, always. It is our choice to either choose the positive or the negative. The positive path always feels good, it brings happiness and joy. It means we are following our bliss. We attract more positive into our lives. Our lives fill with abundance. We allow the flow.

The book I picked up is “Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires” by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Reading, I am realizing that the words are a validation to what I have been working on applying to my life. Following are a couple passages from the book that really stood out for me so I am sharing them.

“When you are consciously aware of your own thoughts, and you are deliberately offering them, then you are the deliberate creator of your own reality…”

“That is the optimal creative vantage point: To stand on the brink of what is coming, feeling eager, optimistic anticipation–with no feeling of impatience, doubt, or unworthiness hindering the receiving of it–that is the Science of Deliberate Creation at its best.”

“Your vibrational Universe has the Law of Attraction as its basis. That means that your Universe is about inclusion. When you give your attention to something that you desire and you say yes to it, you are including it in your vibration. But when you look at something you do not want and you say no to it, you are including it in your vibration. When you give no attention to it, you do not include it, but you cannot exclude anything that you are giving your attention to, because your attention to it includes it in your vibration, every time, without exception.”

Yes, we are in trying, difficult times right now. There are a lot of changes taking place. Create the life you want. Find the positive, let abundance and happiness flow into your life. And, life is really fun when the messages or synchonicies flow… this song played this morning, a gentle reminder for me to let go of yesterday…

Out beyond ideas…

Published by Tania under Poetry

grass, field, Rumi

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.

When the soul likes down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn’t make any sense.

The Path Out of Negativity

positive energyI came across this message while sorting out old emails. Since so many of us are experiencing change, I felt that it was important to share this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne
Creator of
The Secret
Did you know that if your life was not changing, you would not exist?
Our Universe and everything in it is continually changing, because our Universe is made of energy. Energy can only exist if it is in motion and changing. If energy stopped being in motion, our entire Universe and all Life would vanish. Our lives are also energy, and therefore they too must always be in motion and continue to change. You cannot stop the motion and change in your life, and nor would you want to. The changing nature of energy gives us Life. It causes Life to grow and causes us to grow.
And yet when there is a big change of energy which affects our lives, we often label it as bad, and cause ourselves sorrow, pain, and suffering  by resisting the change. But you always have a choice. In the Universe there is never just one way. You are never trapped with no way out, no matter what has occurred. There are two paths available to you in every circumstance and moment in your life. The two paths are the positive and the negative, and YOU are the one who chooses which path you will take.
You have the power to transform negative change into positive, but you cannot do it by resisting the change. Resisting the change is focusing on the negative and it is choosing the negative path, which brings with it even more negativity, more pain, and misery.
To transform the negative into positive, you must choose the positive path and command that this changing energy transforms into millions of blessings that pour down on you and everyone involved. Command the changing energy to bring unlimited good and positivity. Know and believe in your heart that as you command it, it must be done.
And then the day will come in the not too distant future, when you will look back and see all the blessings that you brought into this world through you and change.
Realizing your potential
“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”
“You enter the forest
at the darkest point,
where there is no path.
Where there is a way or path,
it is someone else’s path.
You are not on your own path.
If you follow someone else’s way,
You are not going to realize
your potential.”
Top Ten Ways to Connect With Your Expanded Self
reflection, joy, abundanceAuthor: Becky Kimes
Imagine for a moment your perfect day. You wake up feeling peace and joy in eager anticipation of all the wonders you know you are going to experience. Every situation you encounter is amazingly synchronistic, perfectly aligning you with your desires. Every person in your life supports you with unconditional love and acceptance. Problems are just minor speed bumps that you easily navigate over while you smile and look ahead at all the wonders that life offers you. You retire for the day knowing that you have served the greater good and the world is elevated because of you.
This may sound a bit like a fantasy world but it is entirely possible when you live your life from the perspective of your Expanded Self. Your Expanded Self is that part of you that is exquisitely linked with everyone and everything in the Universe. When you are fully connected with your Expanded Self, all aspects of your being, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, are perfectly aligned and vibrating with peace, love, joy and bliss.
Your Expanded Self is always available, quietly waiting for you to come into the center of your being and claim your power. Here are 10 simple, easy and fun ways to connect with your expanded self:
  • Breathe: A simple, easy breath is usually all it takes to fully connect with your Expanded Self. Wherever you are right now, take a gentle, deep breath right now. Feel your body move in perfect rhythm as you breathe. Sigh with pleasure! Connect! Be your Expanded Self!
  • Listen to the sounds of Nature: Go outside, close your eyes and notice the sounds of Nature all around you. Listen to the delightful sound of the wind rustling leaves, birds singing their songs, insects purposefully moving about their business. Know that you too are a part of Nature, connected to all that is.
  • Put on your favorite music: Music naturally and automatically connects you to your Expanded Self. Turn on your favorite music and breathe for pleasure for an added boost to your vibration.
  • Laugh: Laughing automatically raises your vibration, increases your joy and empowers you to live your life fully and completely.
  • Watch the clouds: Go outside and gaze at the sky. Watch the clouds drift, expand and change color. In this moment connect with your Expanded Self and know that you are as expansive as the clouds.
  • Move your body with child-like abandonment: Remember skipping across the playground, without a care in the world? Or skipping rocks across a lake just for the joy of the ripples in the water? How about spinning in circles with your arms outstretched until you fall to the ground dizzy with pleasure? Play, laugh, delight in the pleasure of being your Expanded Self.
  • Ask Your Expand Self an empowering question: Open ended questions automatically engage our expanded self and stimulate creativity. What is the best solution right now? Who do I know that can support me in this situation? How can I enjoy my life even more fully? Enjoy your new found freedom as you actively engage your Expanded Self with empowering questions.
  • Schedule silent time: Silence is the realm of the Expanded Self. Dive into the silence and allow your worries to dissolve away.
  • Say “Yes”: Say “Yes” out loud. Feel the expansion in your body. Feel your vibration instantly rise. What can you say “Yes” to today? Say it often.
  • Daydream for pleasure: Allow you creativity to soar as you daydream for pleasure. Are you riding a beautiful, white horse across a sandy beach? Perhaps you are meandering among the brilliant flowers of an exquisite garden. Maybe you are receiving an award and basking in the pleasure of thunderous applause. All your Expanded Self to guide you among the wonders and excitement of your daydreams because you deserve it.
These are just a few examples of the many ways you can connect to the expansive, loving, Divine presence of your Expanded Self. Thrive in exciting new ways as you live your life more fully, joyfully, and easily as your expanded self.
