Reflections

Fall has always been a time of reflection for me, this year even more so.
Life starts slowing down, preparing for the season ahead. It’s easy to catch a glimpse of stillness, calmness. A favorite this time of year is sitting near the water, watching the stillness and reflections. Light playing on the still waters.
Looking back on the past year. Harvest time. As well as the start of my New Year. What came to fruition from what was planted? This year was a little different for me, I tilled the soil but never planted. No expectations and actually no dreams. I did initiate many changes in the spring and let life steer its own course. Some things fell into place and some things fell away. What did I harvest? A lot of growth. I’m recognizing my strengths and realizing my weaknesses. I took the time to just be, to observe. Now I am ready to enjoy and work with my harvest.
