As I go into the Earth…

Published by Tania under General, Personal Growth, Quotes

“As I go into the Earth, she pierces my heart. As I penetrate further, she unveils me. When I have reached her center, I am weeping openly. I have known her all my life, yet she reveals stories to me, and these stories are revelations and I am transformed. Each time I go to her I am born like this. Her renewal washes over me endlessly, her wounds caress me, I become aware of all that has come between us, of the noise between us, the blindness, of something sleeping between us. Now my body reaches out to her. They speak effortlessly, and I learn at no instant does she fail me in her presence. She is as delicate as I am, I know her sentience, I feel her pain and my own pain comes into me, and my own pain grows large and I grasp this pain with my hands, and I open my mouth to this pain, I taste, I know, and I know why she goes on, under great weight, with this great thirst, in drought, in starvation, with intelligence in every act does she survive disaster. This earth is my sister, I love her daily grace, her silent daring, and how loved I am, how we admire this strength in each other, all that we have lost, all that we have suffered, all that we know: we are stunned my this beauty, and I do not forget what she is to me, what I am to her.”   ~Susan Griffin

With love…

Published by Tania under Love, music

Happy Valentine’s Day to all my blogging friends and readers!

China Rose - Enya

Who can tell me if we have heaven,
Who can say the way it should be;
Moonlight holly, the Sappho Comet,
Angel’s tears below a tree.

You talk of the break of morning
As you view the new aurora,
Cloud in crimson, the key of heaven,
One love carved in acajou.

One told me of China Roses,
One a thousand nights and one night,
Earth’s last picture, the end of evening
Hue of indigo and blue.

A new moon leads me to
Woods of dreams and I follow.
A new world waits for me;
My dream, my way.

I know that if I have heaven
There is nothing to desire.
Rain and river, a world of wonder
May be paradise to me.

I see the sun.
I see the stars.

With love and blessings to all,
~Tania

What if?

What if we were to wake one morning without any of our fears? Without judgement, anger, greed, envy, prejudice, fear, control, hate, negativity?

What if we were to wake with only love in our hearts? Full of joy, compassion, grace, trust, forgiveness, love, honesty, gratitude?

Isn’t this true freedom?

What if you put your “rose-colored glasses” on for just one day?

Turn off the media and ignore the negative. Give it a try, see how your day goes. Go through your day with love and joy, offering smiles. You can’t help but experience a wonderful and magical day!

What if you try it tomorrow?

What if everyone did the same? What if it was all the time?

Snuggling into the Solitude of Winter

I want to point out something that I had written back in November in an earlier post, Rhythms of Nature - Winter:

Winter should be a time of personal growth, a time to go within, a restful break, a time to replenish energy for the start of the “growing” season – Spring. The cold and dampness, a hint to stay home where it is warm and comfortable.

The shorter days that winter provide should be used as an opportunity to get more rest, sleep and dreams. Personal growth requires a lot of quiet time and solitude. Solitude is always an interesting period in our lives. It can be a time of independence, loneliness or a time of reflection and growth – the choice is ours. Winter is the time to go within. Time spent alone has the ability to open creativity. It allows us to become our real selves, true to ourselves. A time to explore who we really are; our strengths and weaknesses. We are all complete as we are but we don’t usually realize it. No one can provide true happiness for another person; that is dependency. True joy and happiness comes from within when we take the time to be ourselves, to discover who we are.

Since the beginning of the year I have been taking full advantage of my solitude and the silence. The silence is important, the removal of outside negative influences. I’ve just been letting the negative roll by me. Denial? No, negativity is just not something I wish in my life. And by the Law of Attraction, our thoughts draw more of the same to us. Wouldn’t you rather be in a state of joy and attract more joy? It’s interesting because I’ve been feeling a deep level of contentment. Yes, business has been very slow but I’m still looking towards the positive. I’m using this time to build upon myself, strengthen my foundation, challenge and adjust my perceptions, and develop a deeper understanding and commitment to my healing arts.

Many people feel optimistic that 2008 is going to be a year of positive changes and transformations. Take full advantage of this season to lay the groundwork for the new.

One project that I am working on is to create a new vision board. Although visions boards have been around for some time, the movie The Secret is what brought them more to light. I put together my first vision board a year ago, they are amazing. Just to take the time to put together your dreams or visions is very enlightening in itself. But to actually start seeing the results happen…. just one example on my board was a photo of a horse and I placed the words “whispered wisdom” across the photo. This wasn’t what I meant by it, but since then I have met a very dear friend who is a horse communicator. Has to make you think. Here is a post for more information on creating vision boards.

Thoughts are energy, we can change our lives by changing our thoughts!
