Tagged! 7 Random Facts About Me
I’ve been tagged by Larry at Life’s Curveballs. Hmm, seven random or weird facts about me…
- My housemates consist of 3 parakeets - Skye, Opal & Karma; a beta fish called Blue (because he’s blue); and a German Shepherd named Zoey.
- I used to commute every day to Boston, MA from Mystic, CT on the train.
- Sailboat racing was a passion, raced on a 42′ and also owned my own 24′ sailboat.
- Way back when I was little, I played all day in the snow, climbing trees, etc. with this boy. When we went in his house and took off our winter coats and hats, he ran upstairs horrified, yelling… “You’re a girl!” Guess that was back in the time of “kooties”.
- I make and play native style drums (red cedar & elk). Have played at open mike nights and with a celtic group at a pub in Mystic.
- I’ve never been farther west than Ithica, NY.
- I own my own tablesaw and know how to use it.

Very interesting Tania. Owned your own sailboat. Do you still own it or did you get rid of it?
I must have been different as a child. I still remember holding a girls hand (Grade 1?) and thinking she was wonderful because she could climb trees.
You should take a photograph of your drums (it is artwork). That would be interesting. Myself, I have always considered making my own mandolin but yet need the courage to do so.
Interesting fact about the table saw….
Take care.

No, I got rid of the sailboat.
At least guys don’t appear to still be afraid of “kooties”…
When I come up with what to write with the drum, I will post a picture, thanks!

Although far away in age we share many of the same interests including sailing. Dianne and I owned a 27′ Erickson and sailed mostly on the Columbia in Oregon.
After retirement we planned on buying a 35′ Westsail and sail around the world. After many “bluewater” sailing adventures off the coasts of Oregon, Washington and the San Juan Island I came to the indisputable conclusion that the husband and wife teams who sail around the world - she’s a better man than I am!
All those magazine covers showing the happy couple in their wonderfully clean sailboat resting in an azure blue lagoon is a total fabrication!
This is a fabulous idea, Tania. I’ll incorporate the follow up into my day. Thanks for thinking of me and Dreambuilders Australia.
