Moment of Freedom

“In this moment, I am free.
I now become I—
I who lives by my own rules,
the rules of the Divine,
the laws of the Universe.
I can live my life in peace and not be
encumbered by any process,
for any process
is only another lesson and growth.

Lessons do not come to weigh me down,
to encumber me.
Lessons come as opportunities for growth,
which means change,
transformation,
upward movement;
not being pulled down into the lower vibrations
of the lessons themselves.

Sitting in the lower vibrations of the lesson
means being trapped.
Moving to the higher vibrations of the lesson,
I learn to spread my wings
and fly.

This is the real journey—
to learn to always be able
to spread my wings and fly,
not being caught in any situation,
circumstance,
relationship,
career step—
any aspect of my life.
And that includes my spirituality!
Instead, I must fly in relationship and
career and
spirituality.

The spirit of the Beloved lives within me.
I hear the trumpet call.
The shackles of conflict now lift away.
Together with the Beloved I create my life.
I spread my wings
and fly in freedom
through Love.”

Tagged! 7 Random Facts About Me

Published by Tania under General, blogging

I’ve been tagged by Larry at Life’s Curveballs. Hmm, seven random or weird facts about me…

  1. My housemates consist of 3 parakeets - Skye, Opal & Karma; a beta fish called Blue (because he’s blue); and a German Shepherd named Zoey.
  2. I used to commute every day to Boston, MA from Mystic, CT on the train.
  3. Sailboat racing was a passion, raced on a 42′ and also owned my own 24′ sailboat.
  4. Way back when I was little, I played all day in the snow, climbing trees, etc. with this boy. When we went in his house and took off our winter coats and hats, he ran upstairs horrified, yelling… “You’re a girl!” Guess that was back in the time of “kooties”.
  5. I make and play native style drums (red cedar & elk). Have played at open mike nights and with a celtic group at a pub in Mystic.
  6. I’ve never been farther west than Ithica, NY.
  7. I own my own tablesaw and know how to use it.

Ok… consider yourself tagged:

Now for the rules:

1. Once you are tagged, link back to the person who tagged you.

2. Post the rules on your blog.

3. Post 7 random or weird facts about yourself on your blog.

4. Tag 7 people and link to them.

5. Comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.

Everlasting and unfading

Published by Tania under Love, music

Amarantine - Enya

(From what I could find, amarantine is everlasting, unfading…. which is derived from the Greek “amarantos”.)

You know when you give your love away
it opens your heart,
everything is new.
And you know time will always find a way
to let your heart believe it’s true.

You know love is everything you say;
a whisper, a word,
promises you give.
You feel it in the heartbeat of the day.
You know this is the way love is.

Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Love is.
Love is.
Love…

Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Love is.
Love is.
Love…

You know love may sometimes make you cry,
so let the tears go,
they will flow away,
for you know love will always let you fly
-how far a heart can fly away!

Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Love is.
Love is.
Love…

Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Love is.
Love is.
Love…

Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Amarantine…
Love is.
Love is.
Love…

You know when love’s shining in your eyes
it may be the stars
fallen from above.
And you know love is with you when you rise,
for night and day belong to love.

But the Heart of Man can feel

Published by Tania under Poetry, Quotes, Spiritual Teachings, music

“When the birds sing, do they call to the flowers in the fields, or are they speaking to the trees, or are they echoing the murmur of the brooks? For Man with his understanding cannot know what the bird is saying, nor what the brook is murmuring, nor what the waves whisper when they touch the beaches slowly and gently.

Man with his understanding cannot know what the rain is saying when it falls upon the leaves of the trees or when it taps at the window panes. He cannot know what the breeze is saying to the flowers in the fields.

But the Heat of Man can feel and grasp the meaning of these sounds that play upon his feelings. Eternal Wisdom often speaks to him in a mysterious language; Soul and Nature converse together, while Man stands speechless and bewildered.

Yet has not Man wept at the sounds? And are not his tears eloquent understanding?

Divine Music!
Daughter of the Soul of Love

Vase of bitterness and of
Love

Dream of the human heart, fruit
of sorrow

Flower of joy, fragrance and
bloom of feeling

Tongue of lovers, revealer of
secrets

Mother of the tears of hidden love

Inspirer of poets, composers,
architects

Unity of thoughts within fragments
of words

Designer of love out of beauty
Wine of the exulting heart in
a world of dreams

Heartener of warriors, and strengthener
of souls
Ocean of mercy and sea of tenderness

O Music
In your depths we deposit our hearts
and souls
Thou hast taught us to see with our
ears
And hear with our hearts.”

Blue Monday in the park

Published by Tania under Personal Growth, music, relationships

I’m the one that friends call. Anytime. For anything. I’m the one that’s always there. Without judgement. One night a few years ago a close friend called. Needed someone to “hang out with.” For the first time, I said I couldn’t, too tired. He died that night. He fell asleep with a cigarette. There’s an empty spot here now. Not just from the torn down building but in our hearts. I’ve been told by others that I wasn’t the only one he called asking for help that night. Does that make me feel better?

How much do we give of our Self? At what point do we draw our boundaries?

His funeral was on a Monday. I asked and the band in the park that evening played….

Stormy Monday
