Merry Christmas
Through the years, Christmas has grown into more of a sad time; disappointed at the materialism, the pressures, the general depression in people, the loss of hope.
I wasn’t brought up religious. It hasn’t been until the last couple years that religion has been slowly intertwining itself into my spirituality, a gossamer thread. Although Reiki is not a religion, it is very spiritual. I’m not going to explain Reiki in this post but just want to mention an aspect of it. There are many terms that can be used for the energy that is channeled during a Reiki session; chi, prana, Divine Love, God, Spirit, God Consciousness, etc. Starting out as a Reiki practitioner, I preferred to use the term chi, seemed more acceptable to others as well as myself. I’ve had some very enlightening experiences with Reiki, sometimes the love that I feel is overwhelming enough to bring tears of intense joy. I work with guides during a Reiki session. During one of my Reiki meditations, a new guide came to work with and through me, Jesus. This was not something I asked for and definately didn’t expect, remember, I wasn’t brought up with religion. My Reiki sessions have changed as he works with me. I now refer to the Reiki energy as Divine Love, seems more appropriate to me now.
Here’s a piece of an email a friend sent to me this morning:
“I hope you have a Blessed day.
We must always remember the reason we celebrate Christmas.”
That statement went right to my heart. I did feel Blessed. And I truly felt the spirit of Christmas.
And because synchronicities are reminders, this song played shortly after on the radio, with a totally different meaning for me.
Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there’s no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that’s what you doOh the morning sun in all its glory
Greets the day with hope and comfort too
And you fill my life with laughter
You can make it better
Ease my troubles that’s what you doThere’s a love that’s divine
And its yours and its mine
Like the sun at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the oneHave I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there’s no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that’s what you doThere’s a love that’s divine
And its yours and its mine
And it shines like the sun
At the end of the day we will give thanks
And pray to the oneHave I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there’s no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that’s what you doTake away my sadness
Fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles that’s what you do
Fill my life with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles that’s what you do. ~Van Morrison
Blessings to All,

Thank you for your beautiful Christmas message, Tania. Your thoughts in this and other writings touch my heart and have awakened long-gone memories of things I used to “know” and believe in. You give meaning to a new hope in life. Bless you, God bless you.
One of the beautiful things about Reiki is that as we offer ourselves to others in the service of a Reiki treatment, Divine energey is flowing through us and healing us along the way. I too have experienced profound love and joy while laying hands on someone. I believe it is our surrendering in loving service that opens us to experience more of the truth that all is one. Even a moment in awareness of oneness is bliss.
Enjoy your blessing of service.

Jacqueline, your comment is beautiful! Thank you. Reiki has changed my life so much, an experience I have not regretted for a moment. It has opened me up to Universal Love.
