Signposts Along the Path of Spiritual Growth

Published by Tania at 9:23 am under Balance, Personal Growth, Spiritual Teachings

As any of us consciously travelling down our spiritual path knows, sometimes we stumble, sometimes we step off our path and sometimes we seem to just come to a stopping point.

Why does this happen? Balance, or better yet, lack of. Life is full of distractions. It can be difficult to remain true to self, true to our heart’s desire, that which gives us joy and passion.

How do we know when we are in balance with our Self? Easy, life flows. We experience joy, health and abundance. And synchronicities are abundant.

Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events which occur in a meaningful manner, but which are causally unrelated. In order to be synchronous, the events must be related to one another conceptually, and the chance that they would occur together by random chance must be very small.” From Wikipedia

When we really start to notice synchronicities and validate them by journaling, life becomes so much fun, a game; as it should be. Synchonicities in our everyday life include such things as dreams, a song played on the radio, an article read, running into or receiving a call from someone you were thinking about or a conversation that comes up. Depending upon your beliefs, oracle cards, animals, events in nature, messages or thoughts during quiet time are all tied to symbolism and can be considered as synchronous events. To get started journaling and thus validating synchronicities is easy. Just start being observant of your life. Record what you notice. Live in the present. As you develop your journal, meanings and messages from your writings will be shown to you.

Here is a quote from Deepak Chopra’s novel “Return of Merlin“:

“We’re seekers, and the way we find what we’re seeking is by clues. He thinks your name is a clue, and I do, too.”

“I’m not sure I understand– a clue to what?”

“To whether we are on the right track. Things happen in patterns and spread out in lines, but you can’t see them. Clues drop in all around, however. Sometimes they creep past like shy animals in the underbrush. Sometimes they fall on you from above like a bird of prey. Sometimes they penetrate your armor like weapons. We’re just the ones who happen to notice.”

“The court of miracles, you mean?” Pen said. “And those who don’t notice remain trapped in the net.”

The woman in the felt hat looked pleased. “A clue is how it begins. Certain of us don’t fit into this world very well. We’re labeled crazy or misfits. Clues more or less seek us out; otherwise the normal, sane people would crush us. The time comes when we have to choose whether to just remain misfits or to follow the threads dangling in front of our noses.”

Open your eyes, find your clues, notice life’s game and enjoy the fun!

Thank you for your comment on the Flowers on the Wayside blog. The flow of your thoughts is really very familiar to the way I like writing. And it is really a synchronicity about the topic.
    Greetings from Switzerland
